Q3, 2026, MongoDB .local Build Fest in San Francisco on August 13, where Neil Biafore, CEO of The Qwik Group, met the MongoDB team and watched engineers from around the world build live.
"It was a privilege to meet the MongoDB team in person — their hospitality was exceptional, and I'm grateful to them for welcoming The Qwik Group into the MongoDB for Startups program." — Neil Biafore

The day was a chance to meet members of the MongoDB team in person and to watch engineers from around the world build products live at the MongoDB .local Build Fest in San Francisco — a rare, direct look at how modern software gets made under real time pressure.

The Build Lab ran throughout the day, with teams shipping working apps and putting them up for a live vote. Standing in front of the leaderboard as scores updated in real time was a reminder of how much can be built in a single focused session.

The visit followed a milestone for The Qwik Group: earlier in 2026, MongoDB accepted TQG into its MongoDB for Startups program, which supports early-stage companies building on MongoDB with technical guidance, credits, and access to its ecosystem.

"Congratulations to the winning teams who took the stage at the end of the day. Their work stood out in a room full of talent, and it was inspiring to watch them turn an idea into a shipped product under real time pressure — exactly the kind of builders The Qwik Group loves to see." — Neil Biafore

Being on the ground with builders, founders, and the MongoDB team — under the "Build Anything. Change Everything." banner — captured exactly why events like this matter to The Qwik Group.

"The lineup even included a live performance by Loud Luxury, the Grammy-nominated electronic duo. It's rare — and genuinely refreshing — to see that kind of music and entertainment culture mix so naturally with the developer and tech community. Building great products and creating great experiences come from the same place." — Neil Biafore

MongoDB extended the conference into a citywide takeover of San Francisco — from neon-green landmark "glow-ups" to wrapped Rivian shuttles and neighborhood coffee tie-ins — turning a single day into a week-long presence across the city.
